EXPERT Virtual, Web-based ultrasound training
RATIONALE: The management of Cervical Dystonia requires experience and skills in a range of practical aspects. To ensure safe usage and optimal treatment response with botulinum toxin therapy, target structures must be correctly localized and injected. Also, the right muscles for the corresponding pattern need to be identified. The objective of this meeting is to foster the use of ultrasound as a guiding technique for injections and help to identify muscles for prominent pattern. Ideally, the acquired knowledge will lead to an improvement in patient care.

Sternocleidomastoid, Trapezius, Splenius capitis and cervicis, Levator scapulae, Semispinalis capitis and cervicis muscles.
18:20 – 18:50 Ultrasound demonstration part II – Challenging muscles in cervical dystonia
obliquus capitis inferior, rectus capitis major posterior, longissimus capitis, scalenius anterior and medius, longus capitis and cervicis muscle.

19:00 – 19:30 Live demonstration – Ultrasound guided injection
Case presentation: Patient profile, previous treatment, identification of pattern and current challenges followed by demonstration of ultrasound guided Botulinum Neurotoxin injections of cervical muscles.
